Eric has achieved some of the highest levels within the Insurance and Financial arena, including being a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable’s (MDRT) elite “Top of the Table.” MDRT is a global, independent association of the world’s leading insurance and financial services professionals. To reach “Top of the Table” status, one is considered in the top one percent of the industry and upholds the highest of ethical standards.
He is also a member of the “Forum 400,” an exclusive community that brings together executives to share sophisticated strategies and ideas that positively impact clients’ lives.
Furthermore, Eric co-founded the Double E Charitable Fund at the Palmetto Health Foundation, which helped raise money to establish the first and only children’s inpatient pediatric and rehabilitation center in South Carolina.
Prior to Double E, Eric helped grow KeenanSuggs BowersElkins (KSBE) into one of the largest Independent Insurance agencies in the Southeast. KSBE was acquired in 2016 to one of the largest Insurance / Financial brokerage organizations in the world.
He was a former member of the prestigious Lincoln Financial Advisory Council which provided direction and guidance to the award-winning Lincoln Financial Group, a U.S. Fortune 200 company that has helped millions of people plan their financial and insurance needs. Eric also has been published in a variety of periodicals regarding Insurance and Financial strategies.
In addition to his many roles, Eric is the host of the Nationally Syndicated Entrepreneurial Podcast The Shrimp Tank-Charleston, which can be heard on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, IHeartRadio, and other channels. In every episode, Eric interviews highly accomplished entrepreneurs, athletes, coaches, and executives to discover their secrets of success.
Grateful for his accomplishments, Eric is especially proud of all the people he has been fortunate to work with over the years—from colleagues to clients.
One of his greatest achievements, he says, is his family: “My wife, Jen, has been one of the main ingredients to my success. My sons, Owen, and Alec, continue to teach me valuable life lessons every day.
